Diamondbacks Light Up the Fireworks Early! 🎆

What a start for our D-backs! In the top of the 1st inning, Corbin Carroll got things rolling with a triple and scored on a throwing error by Cruz. Then, we witnessed a back-to-back-to-back home run parade! Ketel Marte homered to right for a 420-foot bomb, followed by Joc Pederson launching a 430-footer, and Josh Bell with a 409-foot shot! Lourdes Gurriel Jr. added to the craziness by scoring on a fielder's choice. We ended the inning with 5 runs! 💣💣💣

Pirates Respond, But Not Enough 🏴‍☠️

The Pirates tried to fight back, starting with a Cruz single leading to a run in the 4th inning. But their big push came in the 6th, where multiple singles and some fielder's choices saw them rack up 6 runs and tie the game at 7-7. It was nail-biting, but our D-backs stayed calm.

Back and Forth as Bell and Marte Shine 🌟

Even though the Pirates tied it up in the 6th, Josh Bell came through in the top of the 7th with his second homer of the game to even the score at 7-7. Later, in the 9th, Ketel Marte delivered another shot to right, giving us a crucial insurance run.

Closing Time with Drama 😅

With the Pirates nipping at our heels, McCarthy took over as DH and demonstrated excellent base-running instincts, stealing second and advancing to third on a throwing error. Kevin Newman stepped in at first base to help lock it down. In the bottom of the 9th, they managed to score one more run, but our relievers held strong. Thompson closed the game, and despite a scare with Cruz and Tellez reaching base, we locked up the win with a final score of 9-8. 💪

Great job, D-backs! On to the next! 🐍⚾
