Braves Start Strong With Early Lead

The Atlanta Braves showed some early firepower as Austin Riley went deep to center field for a solo home run in the top of the 1st inning⚾. Despite a couple of outs, the quick lead certainly set the tone for what was to come. The Diamondbacks couldn't respond in the bottom of the inning, as the Braves' defense held steady.

Tight Few Innings, Braves Hold On

In the 2nd through 5th innings, both teams showcased some solid pitching and defense. Ozzie Albies and Marcel Ozuna couldn't find their rhythm at the plate, and the Diamondbacks were kept at bay by clutch fielding from players like Orlando Arcia✨. Our hearts skipped a beat when Gurriel Jr. stole second, but we dodged the bullet as Bryce Elder managed to keep it together.

Drama Unfolds, Game Tied In The 9th

The plot thickened in the 6th inning as the Diamondbacks managed to rally and put up 3 runs, taking a temporary lead😰. But our Braves would not be thwarted! In the top of the 9th, Sean Murphy came up clutch with a 431-foot homer to right-center, bringing the Braves back into the game with a 3-3 tie. Super exciting stuff!

Extra Innings Tension

Both teams battled hard through the 10th inning. Ozzie Albies delivered a sacrifice fly giving us the edge, but the Diamondbacks clawed back to tie it up 4-4. The pressure was at an all-time high as we headed into the 11th inning.

Braves Seal the Deal

In the top of the 11th, Matt Olson reached on an infield single, and Marcell Ozuna hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Austin Riley, securing a narrow 5-4 lead. Joe Jiménez took the mound in the bottom and got it done, closing out the game with some intense final outs. When Walker struck out swinging and Gurriel Jr. lined out to left, we knew we had it in the bag. The Braves win it 5-4!🎉👏

What a rollercoaster of a game! This is the kind of excitement only baseball can deliver. Let's keep this momentum going, Braves!🧢💪
