First Inning: Early Braves Lead! ⚾

We started the game strong with Michael Harris II walking and Austin Riley taking one for the team by getting hit by a pitch. Although Marcell Ozuna grounded into a double play, Matt Olson came through with an RBI single, bringing in Harris II to put us up 1-0 early. The bottom of the first was a breeze with three strikeouts from our pitching. Great start! 😊

Second & Third Inning: Holding the Line

Though we didn't capitalize in the top of the second, our defense held the Angels scoreless as Williams at third base made some crucial plays. Whit Merrifield got things rolling in the third with a single and a stolen base. After some strategic movements, we were in scoring positions, but a double play stopped us short. Still, no letting up from our pitchers as they kept the Angels at bay.

Fourth Inning: Power Up! 💥

Ramon Laureano hit a monstrous 442-foot homer to left-center to extend our lead to 2-0! Jarred Kelenic and Sean Murphy added singles, but we couldn’t bring them home. Defense was again rock solid, with more strikeouts from our pitching. The Angels just couldn’t touch us!

Fifth Inning: A Minor Setback

Though Brandon Drury's single and Matt Thaiss's walk applied pressure, our defense managed to limit the damage to just one run. The Angels got on the board with a bases-loaded hit by pitch, but a timely double play ended their momentum. Score now: 2-1 Braves.

Sixth & Seventh Inning: Locking It Down

Lee relieved Morton and continued our stellar pitching display, while our offense faced some challenges from the Angels' bullpen. Though Pillar entered as the DH for the Angels, he couldn’t change the score for them. Jiménez took over pitching duties and maintained our control, finishing the seventh inning with striking out all three Angels batters! 👊

Eighth Inning: Insurance Run!

Marcell Ozuna doubled to start the inning, and after an intentional walk to Olson, Laureano was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Kelenic then delivered a sac fly, allowing Ozuna to score and pushing our lead to 3-1. Jiménez stayed sharp, even after Stefanic was hit by a pitch, with more strikeouts to shut down the inning.

Ninth Inning: Closing It Out 🔒

Merrifield, Harris II, and Williams couldn't add any more insurance runs, but that didn’t matter as Iglesias came in and got the job done. Three quick outs and the game was ours! The Braves win it 3-1 against the Angels! What an exciting game from start to finish. Go Braves! 🎉

Final Score: Braves 3, Angels 1

Let's keep this momentum going, Braves Country! 🌟
