Orioles Start with a Bang! 💥

What a way to kick off the game! Colton Cowser wasted no time, smashing a homer to right center (398 feet) in the top of the 1st inning! After his solo shot, although the middle of our lineup couldn't capitalize further, the Orioles took an early 1-0 lead.

Pitching Dominance and Defensive Excellence ⚾️

Our pitchers were lights out early on. The Rays had no answer in the first three innings, barely getting on base. Strikeouts were the theme, as guys like Díaz and B. Lowe simply couldn't handle our pitchers. Defense held strong too, with minimal mistakes in the field keeping the Rays at bay.

Mid-Game Clutch Performances 🥳

In the top of the 5th inning, the Orioles offense came alive again. Ramón Urías and James McCann set the table, and Ryan O'Hearn delivered with a clutch single to center, driving in two runs and extending our lead to 3-0. A solo shot by Cedric Mullins in the 6th inning further cemented our dominance with a 4-0 lead!

Solid Relief Pitching Shuts the Door 🚪

Even with a comfortable lead, our relievers ensured there would be no late-game heroics from the Rays. Bryan Baker and Cionel Pérez continued to stifle their bats, preserving our lead. Their only blip was a solo homer by Dylan Carlson in the 9th, but it was too little, too late.

Final Score: Orioles 4, Rays 1 🎉

An all-around strong performance from our Birds today! With solid hitting from Cowser, O'Hearn, and Mullins, combined with stellar pitching, we cruised to a 4-1 victory. This was a game where we showed both our power and our poise on the mound. Let's keep this momentum going! Go O's! 🧡⚾
