Cubs Dominate Dodgers in a 10-4 Victory! 🐻

What an incredible night for us Cubs fans! Chicago came out swinging and never looked back as they took down the Dodgers in a decisive 10-4 victory. Let's go through some of the highlights that had us cheering all game long!

First Inning Fireworks 💥

We kicked things off with a bang in the first inning. Ian Happ started us off with a single, although he was later out on a fielder's choice. After Seiya Suzuki struck out, Cody Bellinger launched a 430-foot homer to right, bringing home Dansby Swanson and giving us a quick 2-0 lead. But we weren't done yet! Isaac Paredes doubled to left, followed by a Michael Busch single that brought Paredes home, putting us up 3-0.

Maintaining the Momentum 🚀

Busch's solo homer in the 4th inning extended our lead to 4-0. Meanwhile, our pitching staff was lights out, keeping the Dodgers scoreless through the first four innings. Kyle Hendricks was dealing, and Thompson came in clutch to maintain our dominance.

Dodgers' Brief Rally 🌩️

The Dodgers tried to mount a comeback in the 5th inning. Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts set the table, and a sac fly from Max Muncy made it a 4-2 game. But our bullpen held its ground. Keegan Thompson and Drew Smyly were vital in stopping their momentum.

Another Offensive Surge ⚾

In the 6th inning, we put the game out of reach. Busch and Hoerner got on base and Pete Crow-Armstrong brought in another run with a single. Miguel Amaya delivered a key single that scored two more, pushing our lead to 7-2. Another sac fly in the 8th by Crow-Armstrong scored Busch again, making it 8-4.

Finishing Strong 🏆

The Dodgers tried to fight back, with Betts hitting a two-run homer in the 7th, but it wasn't enough. In the 9th inning, Cody Bellinger delivered another clutch single to bring in Swanson, and a sac fly from Paredes capped off our strong offensive showing with another run, sealing the deal at 10-4.

Closing It Out 🔒

In the final inning, our pitchers were untouchable. Dillon Roberts came in to close it out, and the Dodgers couldn't muster any more offense. Andy Pages and Kevin Kiermaier were their last hopes but fell short, with Will Smith striking out to end the game.

What a game, Cubs fans! Let's keep this momentum going! 💙❤️
