First Inning Fireworks! 💥

What a start for our beloved St. Louis Cardinals! After a shaky beginning where Seiya Suzuki homered to give the Cubs a 1-0 lead, the Cardinals came roaring back with an explosive bottom half of the 1st inning. Masyn Winn, Alec Burleson, and Willson Contreras got the ball rolling with singles to tie the game. A throwing error by the Cubs pitcher allowed us to take the lead, and errors kept piling up against them, allowing us to build a massive 9-1 lead by the end of the inning. Special shoutout to Alec Burleson for his 3-run homer! 🎉

Pitching Dominance in the Middle Innings

After our explosive first inning, our pitchers took control. The Cubs couldn’t muster much against us with Michael Siani, Dylan Carlson, and others making crucial plays. Nico Hoerner, the Cubs' leadoff man, kept finding ways to get on base, but it didn’t matter. Our pitchers and defense snuffed out any potential rallies. By the end of the 5th, we maintained a comfy 11-2 lead.

Consistent Effort on Both Sides 🛡️

The Cardinals didn’t let up for the entire game. Whether it was Arenado’s steady presence, despite his early exit for Brandon Crawford, or Willson Contreras constantly pressuring the Cubs' defense, everyone contributed. Though the Cubs had a couple of highlights, like Wisdom’s 9th inning homer, it was too little too late.

Crowning Achievement in the Ninth 🎉

The Cubs managed another run in the 9th with Patrick Wisdom’s homer, but that was their last stand. Pete Crow-Armstrong flew out to left, wrapping up an impressive 11-3 victory for our Cardinals! 💪

Final Score: Cardinals 11, Cubs 3

What a game! Let’s keep this momentum rolling! 🚀
