Tough Loss in The Desert 
Fellow Rockies fans, last night's game against the Diamondbacks was a tough one to watch. Our boys fell to Arizona with a final score of 11-4. Let's dive into the recap. A Rocky Start 
The first inning spelled trouble for us early on. Corbin Carroll walked, and Jake McCarthy singled, setting the stage. Joc Pederson doubled to right, scoring both and later scoring himself on a throwing error by Michael Toglia. Things went from bad to worse as Josh Bell reached on catcher's interference. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. singled, and Adrian Del Castillo fouled out. Then, after a bases-loaded situation and a walk from Geraldo Perdomo, the Diamondbacks were up 4-0. Peter Lambert came in to stop the bleeding, but the damage was done.Struggles at the Plate 
The offense struggled to get going in the early innings. We couldn't manage a hit until Brenton Doyle doubled in the 4th. A wild pitch moved him to third, and Michael Toglia grounded out to bring him home, making it 5-1. We then had a brief spark in the 6th, with Brendan Rodgers singling and scoring on a hit by Jacob Stallings. Another double by Toglia led to another run, as Stallings again crossed the plate cutting the Diamondbacks' lead to 6-3. However, the Diamondbacks responded in force.
Late Inning Heartbreak 
In the 6th inning, with Robert Pint on the mound, the 'Backs loaded the bases. Eugenio Suárez then belted a grand slam to crush our hopes. The score ballooned to 10-3, and we couldn't recover from there. The top of the 8th gave us a brief moment of hope when Sam Hilliard doubled to bring in Hunter Goodman, but it wasn't enough to overcome an 11-4 deficit.
Looking Forward 
This game was a tough pill to swallow, but we've seen glimpses of what our young talent can do. Let's keep supporting our Rockies and look forward to better days ahead. We'll get 'em next time!Rockies for life!
