White Sox Take Down Rockies 11-3 in Dominant Fashion

🎉 What a game, White Sox fans! Our boys in black and white took down the Rockies with an impressive 11-3 victory at home!

Early Struggles

The game started slow for the Sox. In the first inning, Tommy Pham, Andrew Benintendi, and Luis Robert Jr. couldn't get anything going. Rockies' Brendan Rodgers opened the score with a solo homer in the second inning. By the end of the 4th inning, the score was still 0-1, with the Sox struggling to get on base.

Turning Point in the 5th

Things began to shift in the bottom of the 5th. Lenyn Sosa hit a two-run homer to right center, bringing in Nicky Lopez and tying the game at 3-3. The momentum was building! Pham followed with a double, but we couldn't capitalize further.

Power Surge in the 6th

The 6th inning was electric! Luis Robert Jr. cracked a 470-foot homer to center, tying the game at 3-3. After a hit by pitch to Andrew Vaughn, Paul DeJong sent the ball over the left-field wall for a two-run shot, putting us ahead 5-3. This woke the team up and the fireworks began!

Clutch 8th Inning Brings Victory Home

The bottom of the 8th was a thing of beauty. Eloy Jiménez pinch-hit for Gavin Sheets, singling to left and moving Robert Jr. to second. Vaughn then hit a single to right, bringing in Robert. DeJong continued his great night with an RBI single. Korey Lee hit a massive three-run homer to left-center, building a dominant 10-3 lead. Then, after a wild pitch, Sosa scored making it 11-3!

Closing it Out

Rockies couldn't muster a comeback against our solid bullpen. Anderson closed the door in the 9th with no hits allowed, securing our 11-3 win! 🎉

Overall, it was a fantastic team effort, especially from Lenyn Sosa, Paul DeJong, and Korey Lee, who provided the necessary firepower. Let's keep this momentum going, Go White Sox! ⚾💪
