Rockies Take Early Lead in the 1st Inning

Our beloved Rockies jumped out to a quick start in the 1st inning! 🌟 Charlie Blackmon and Ezequiel Tovar both singled to begin the game, and Ryan McMahon drew a walk to load the bases. Kris Bryant then hit a sacrifice fly to bring in the first run. Brendan Rodgers followed up with a double, pushing our lead to 2-0. Things were looking promising right from the start! ⚾

Angels Quickly Respond

Sadly, the Angels managed to equalize in the bottom of the 1st. Despite a strong start by our pitcher, they pulled it back to 2-2 by the end of the inning.

More Rockies Magic in the 2nd Inning

We poured it on in the 2nd inning! Elias Díaz singled and Sam Hilliard walked to put runners in scoring positions again. Our reliable Charlie Blackmon singled to load the bases. Ezequiel Tovar then hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Díaz, and Ryan McMahon blasted a three-run homer! Just like that, we were up 6-2. 🥳

Angels Mount a Comeback

Unfortunately, the game took a tough turn as the Angels began to chip away at our lead starting in the 3rd inning and continued through the 4th. By the middle of the 4th inning, the Angels had narrowed their deficit to just one run, making it 6-5. 😟

Both Teams Score Again in the 7th Inning

With the score tied at 7-7 after a solo home run by Ezequiel Tovar in the top of the 7th, the Angels responded with a homer of their own in the bottom of the inning. They tacked on another run to lead 8-7.

Angels Pull Away in the 8th Inning

In the 8th inning, the Angels managed to add two more important insurance runs, pushing their lead to 10-7. Our bullpen tried their best, but it just wasn't enough to keep them at bay.

Final Chance in the 9th Inning

Despite a valiant effort, the Rockies went down in order in the top of the 9th inning. The Angels held on to win 10-7. 💔

It was a tough loss for us, but there were some bright spots, especially the offensive fireworks early on. We'll bounce back stronger next time, Rockies fans! Keep the faith! 💪
