Rockies Fall Short to Dodgers, 4-6

Hey Rockies fans, it was a rollercoaster ride against the Dodgers tonight, but unfortunately, we came up short with a final score of 4-6. Let's dive into the game summary.

Early Lead for the Rockies 🎉

We got off to a promising start in the 2nd inning when Brendan Rodgers drew a walk and Michael Toglia doubled to push him to third. Hunter Goodman grounded out, but it was enough to bring Rodgers home and give us a 1-0 lead! Next up, Charlie Blackmon hit a solo homer in the 5th inning, extending our lead to 2-0! 🏏

Dodgers Strike Back ⚾

The Dodgers came alive in the bottom of the 5th with a homer from Andy Pages and a 2-run homer from Shohei Ohtani, putting them ahead 3-2. But our guys have heart, and Sam Hilliard responded in the 6th inning with a solo shot to tie it up 3-3! 💪

Down But Not Out 🌟

The game took a turn in the bottom of the 6th when Teoscar Hernández homered to put the Dodgers ahead 4-3. The 7th inning hurt us with a sac fly from Mookie Betts and an RBI from Hernández, extending their lead to 6-3.

Close But No Cigar 💔

Michael Toglia gave us hope in the 9th with a solo homer cutting the deficit to 6-4. Unfortunately, that was the last spark we had, as Sam Hilliard, Hunter Goodman, and Jake Cave couldn’t keep the rally going.

Tough loss, Rockies fans, but there were some bright spots along the way. Let’s regroup and get ready for the next one! 🌄⚾
