Rockies' Struggles in Seattle
Well, Rockies fans, it was a rough night in Seattle as we couldn't quite get the bats going in our favor. Facing the Mariners, we ended up taking a 9-2 loss. The Mariners' early lead created a tough hill to climb, but there were a couple of bright spots and some promising at-bats for us to build on.Two Early Blast Offs From the Mariners
The game started with high hopes, but things quickly took a turn in the bottom of the 1st inning. Those Mariners went deep not once, not twice, but three times!
A Glimmer of Hope
The top of the 4th inning gave us a moment to cheer about, thanks to a powerful solo home run by Blaine Crim, which flew 412 feet to center field.
More Setbacks in Seattle
Unfortunately, our momentum didn't last. The Mariners continued to pile on the runs with Raleigh and Eugenio Suárez adding more homers to the scoreboard in the 8th and 7th innings respectively. Meanwhile, we were trying to find a rhythm, and even though Orlando Arcia sparked a little late-game rally with a walk, it wasn't enough to turn the tide.Final Reflections
In the end, we couldn't quite catch up, but there were still some promising plays. Mickey Moniak's double in the 9th inning showed some hustle, and Arcia managed to score right at the end to bring us to our final score: Rockies 2, Mariners 9. Although the score might not be what we hoped for, this game was a learning experience, and we'll continue to fight on. Upward and onward, Rockies fans!
