The game did not start in our favor. Profar homered in the first inning to give the Padres an early lead, and Bogaerts extended that lead with a two-run homer in the second. By the end of the second inning, we were down 3-0. Hits by Ibáñez, Keith, and Rogers scattered throughout the early innings couldn't bring any runs home. It was starting to feel bleak as we couldn't find our rhythm.Pitching Holds Steady
Our pitchers managed to keep us in the game, though. Kudos to the bullpen for keeping the Padres scoreless after those early innings. Maeda relieved Mize in the sixth inning, and it was lights out the rest of the way. Vanasco and Holton were rock solid in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, ensuring the Padres didn't extend their lead.Ninth-Inning Magic 
It all came down to the top of the 9th inning, and boy, did our Tigers show some heart! Malloy led off with a single, Jung drew a walk, and then Keith walked to load the bases with two outs. The hero of the night was none other than Parker Meadows! Meadows crushed a 361-foot homer to left field, clearing the bases and giving us a 4-3 lead. What a moment! That was the spark we needed to turn the game around.Closing It Out
In the bottom of the 9th, Holton came in to shut the door. After Machado grounded out and pinch-hitter Donovan Solano flew out, there was only one out left. Bogaerts singled to center, adding a bit of tension, but Merrill flied out to center to secure our victory.Way to go, Tigers! Pulling off a comeback like this shows the grit and determination this team has. Let's keep this momentum going into the next game!
