Astros Grind Out Narrow Victory Against the Rays
Hey Astros fans!
What a game! Our boys in orange managed to squeak past the Tampa Bay Rays with a tight 3-2 victory. Let's break down this spectacular match-up!Slow Start for Both Teams
Both teams started off a bit slow. In the top of the 1st inning, Jose Altuve fouled out to third, and although Alex Bregman singled to center, it didn't yield any runs. The Rays also struggled to get on the board in their half of the inning.Rays Strike First
In the bottom of the 2nd inning, the Rays took the lead when Jose Caballero doubled to left and then scored on a single by Josh Lowe. They were up 1-0, but our Astros didn't let that last too long!Astros Level the Score
Alex Bregman continued his hot streak with a double in the top of the 3rd inning. He later scored on a single by Yainer Diaz to tie the game at 1-1.

In the top of the 5th inning, Alex Bregman crushed a homer to left field, putting us up 2-1!
Then, in the 6th inning, Jeremy Peña added another insurance run with a solo shot to left center, extending our lead to 3-1.Rays Rally Cut Short
The Rays challenged us in the 8th inning. Jonny DeLuca and Alex Jackson both got on base, and Brandon Lowe grounded out, allowing Jackson to score, making it 3-2. Thankfully, Ryan Pressly and Josh Hader shut the door to keep the lead.Clutch Pitching Seals the Win
Huge shoutout to our bullpen! Ryan Pressly got us through a nerve-wracking 8th inning, and Josh Hader closed it out in the 9th with a crucial strikeout of Junior Caminero and getting the final out when Josh Lowe grounded out to first.
