Heartbreaker in the Motor City 
Tough loss for the Detroit Tigers today as they fell to the Kansas City Royals, 3-2. Despite a strong start and solid pitching through eight innings, the Tigers couldn't hold onto their lead.Early Lead for the Tigers 
The game was tightly contested from the get-go. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Zach McKinstry tripled to right, setting the stage for Dillon Dingler to walk and Gio Urshela to single home McKinstry. This gave us a 1-0 lead! In the 5th inning, Javier Báez orchestrated another run by walking and later scoring on a sacrifice fly by Matt Vierling. At this point, we were up 2-0 and feeling good!Royals Rally in the Ninth 
Our bullpen was lights out until the 9th inning. Entering the final frame with a 2-0 lead, the Royals managed to get runners on base. MJ Melendez then dealt the crushing blow, a three-run homer that turned the game on its head. Our boys just couldn’t recover from that.Final Push Falls Short 
In the bottom of the 9th, we tried to muster a comeback. After Wenceel Perez singled to center, the game ended in a heartbreaker when Colt Keith lined into a double play. What a tough way to go down, especially knowing how well we played initially.Look Ahead 
Despite the loss, there are positives to take away. Solid performances from Gio Urshela and Javier Báez show promise. Our bullpen was mostly excellent until the final inning. We need to shake off this one and come back stronger in the next game. Let’s rally behind our team and show them the support they need! Go Tigers!
