A Rollercoaster Victory for the Cubs: Cubs 8, Angels 6

What a game at Wrigley Field! As a loyal Cubs fan, this rollercoaster of an afternoon was as thrilling as it gets. Our boys in blue faced off against the Angels, emerging victorious with an 8-6 win. From the very start, our pitchers were on fire, mowing down the opposition right away. Top of the first, and there it was - a powerful display of pitching left the Angels with three strikeouts. What a way to set the tone! 😎

Offensive Fireworks in the 2nd and 3rd Innings!

The bottom of the second inning fired up some serious fireworks. Michael Conforto set the stage with a double to right, then Carson Kelly took his moment to shine with a homer that brought Conforto home. And if we weren't excited enough, Moises Ballesteros decided to send one soaring 441 feet for another homer. Cubs lead 3-0! And the show didn't stop there – in the third, Ballesteros smashed his second homer of the game, this time 423 feet into the stands, pushing us to 4-0. 🤩

Maintaining the Lead, Despite Late-Inning Drama

Our guys kept pushing the lead with Dansby Swanson doubling in the fifth, scoring Ian Happ. The sixth inning saw more magic, with Kelly extending the lead to 8-2 with a solid single. Though the Angels rallied late, our bullpen wasn't going to let this slip away. Bryce Teodosio grounded to second, and Zach Neto flied out to right when it counted - a crucial step in holding their pace. It wasn't without drama in the ninth, as the Angels clawed back, but with Beede closing it out, we hung on tight for a thrilling 8-6 win. Cubs' heart and hustle shone through and made us all proud to be part of this incredible Cubs family. Go Cubs Go! 💪🐻
