Dodgers Secure Extra-Inning Victory Over Angels!

What a game, Dodgers fans! 🐻‍❄️ Our boys rallied to pull off an exciting 6-2 win against the Los Angeles Angels in ten innings. Let's dive into the action that unfolded last night.

Early Struggles and Homers

The Angels got on the board first with a solo homer from Logan O'Hoppe in the bottom of the 2nd inning, giving them a 1-0 lead. However, in the top of the 3rd, we struck back. Miguel Rojas walked, followed by a stunning triple from Shohei Ohtani 😎. Then, Mookie Betts singled to bring Ohtani home. Betts didn't stop there; he quickly stole second and came home on a Freddie Freeman single, pushing us to a 2-1 lead.

Tied Up, But Not for Long

The Angels responded in the bottom of the 5th with a solo homer from Taylor Ward, leveling the score at 2-2. Despite both teams having chances, the score stayed tied for the rest of the regular innings, thanks to some outstanding pitching and defense from both sides.

Nail-Biting Extra Innings

Then came the 10th inning, where the Dodgers really shined ⭐️. With Tommy Edman starting on second base as part of the extra-inning rules, Max Muncy grounded out, allowing Edman to advance to third. Miguel Rojas singled to bring in Edman, and Kevin Kiermaier took over for him on the bases. Gavin Lux came in to pinch-hit and grounded out, sending Kiermaier to second.

After an intentional walk to Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts delivered the blow of the game—a three-run homer to left center, making it 6-2! ⚾🙌 Freddie Freeman followed up with a single, but Teoscar Hernandez struck out to end the inning.

Locking Down the Win

In the bottom of the 10th, it was time for the bullpen to shine. Ryan Brasier came in to close it out, despite O'Hoppe advancing to third on a wild pitch. Brasier coolly retired three consecutive batters, sealing the win for the Dodgers.

This was truly a team effort, with stellar contributions both at the plate and defensively. The Dodgers continue to show their resilience and ability to come through in clutch situations. Way to go, Blue Crew! 💙👏

Can't wait for the next game—let's keep this momentum going!
