Tough Loss at Home

Hey there, Blue Jays fans! What a game that was. A rollercoaster of emotions at Rogers Centre as we battled it out with the Los Angeles Dodgers but unfortunately fell short in an 11-inning thriller. It was one of those nail-biters where every pitch, every swing, and every out kept you on the edge of your seat. 🎢

The Highlights

It all started in the bottom of the 3rd when our very own Bo Bichette smashed a massive 442-foot homer to center, bringing in George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.! That was the spark we needed to take a 3-0 lead early on. However, the Dodgers steadily chipped away at our lead throughout the game.

In the bottom of the 6th, Ernie Clement showed fantastic speed, stealing second and then scoring thanks to Andres Giménez's double, bringing us a bit of breathing room. It seemed like we were pulling ahead, but the Dodgers didn't make it easy for us.

The Turning Point

Come the 9th inning, with the Dodgers down to their last few outs, Miguel Rojas hit a game-tying homer to left, putting us into extra innings. Of course, Will Smith of the Dodgers delivered the eventual game-winner with a solo shot in the 11th inning. Despite a valiant effort in the bottom of the 11th, we just couldn't bring Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in from third to tie it up. 😖

While it wasn't the outcome we hoped for, there were certainly moments of brilliance from our lineup. Bo Bichette, George Springer, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. kept the pressure on throughout the night. We've got to shake this one off and come back stronger at our next game. Let's keep the faith, fans—our boys in blue are fighting hard! 💙⚾

Go Jays Go!
