Heartbreaking Loss: Twins Fall Short in 13-Inning Thriller

Tonight's Twins game was an emotional rollercoaster that didn't end the way we wanted. With a final score of 8-6, the Miami Marlins edged us out after 13 intense innings. 😢

Early Struggles and Mid-Game Revival

The game started off tough for the Twins. We found ourselves trailing early with the Marlins putting up 4 runs by the 5th inning. But in the bottom of the 6th, our hero Carlos Correa homered to give us some life. Later in the 8th, Brooks Lee made a clutch double, bringing in two runs to level the game at 4-4.

Late-Inning Drama

The drama continued in the 10th inning as the Marlins took the lead again. But we weren't done—Willi Castro hit a sacrifice fly to tie it up, sending Royce Lewis home. The game extended into extra innings with both teams battling hard. In the 13th inning, after the Marlins put up another 3 runs, Byron Buxton grounded out allowing Willi Castro to score, but it wasn't enough to catch up.

Missed Opportunities and Key Moments

We had chances to win this game. In the bottom of the 9th, with the game tied, Trevor Larnach reached on an infield single, but we couldn't bring him home. Then, in the 11th, the bases were loaded, but we just couldn't capitalize. And don't get me started on the double play in the 12th inning which crushed our momentum. âš¾

Looking Ahead

This one stings, but we've got to keep our heads up. There were some bright spots and the team fought hard till the end. Time to regroup and get back to winning ways in the next game. Let's go Twins! 💪🌟

Go Twins! 🔴🔵
