Marlins Triumph in a Nail-Biting Finish! 🐬⚾️

What a game, Marlins fans! We came out on top with a final score of 4-3 against the Giants, and it was a truly thrilling matchup from start to finish!

Early Dominance by Miami! 💪

Our bats got going in the 2nd inning when Griffin Conine launched a 401-foot homer to right field, bringing Jonah Bride home and setting the tone early with a 2-0 lead. From there, our defense locked it down, and the Giants couldn’t score through the fourth inning.

Fighting Off Giants’ Comeback 💥

The Giants did not make it easy. In the 5th inning, Jerar Encarnacion scored, and their efforts continued into the 6th with Tyler Fitzgerald driving in a run to make it 3-2. But that’s when Connor Norby stepped up BIG with a solo shot to left field, giving us a crucial cushion with a 3-1 lead.

Holding On! 🧡

The intensity ramped up in the late innings. A clutch sac groundout by David Hensley brought in Otto Lopez in the 7th to make it 4-2. The Giants’ Michael Conforto tried to rally with a homer in the 8th, but our bullpen came through in the 9th. Javy Guerra sealed the victory with three outs, including a strikeout of pinch-hitter LaMonte Wade Jr.!

Stars of the Game 🌟

  • Griffin Conine: Key two-run homer that set the tone.
  • Connor Norby: Solo home run, defensive reliability.
  • The Marlins bullpen: Held strong under pressure, especially Javy Guerra in the 9th.

This was a team effort and a game that shows why we believe in this squad! Let’s keep this momentum going, Fish fans! 🐟👏

Miami Marlins: 4
San Francisco Giants: 3
