A Rough Day at the Office

A devastating game for us Braves fans today as we faced the Milwaukee Brewers and couldn't get anything going. Losing 10-0 is never easy to swallow, but there's always the next game! Here's a recap of how things unfolded.

First Inning Woes

The game started off on a rough note, with Brice Turang singling to center and quickly making it to third. William Contreras tripled, scoring Turang, and then Willy Adames homered to center field, driving in Contreras. We were down 3-0 by the middle of the first inning. Jorge Soler did manage to get an infield single, but a double play by Austin Riley and a flyout from Marcell Ozuna ended the inning quite uneventfully.

Brewers Keep Adding On

The Brewers continued to pile on with Rhys Hoskins doubling in the second inning and later scoring on a single by Joey Ortiz. By the middle of the second inning, it was already 4-0. Meanwhile, Matt Olson tried to spark some offense with a double, but the rest of the lineup couldn't bring him in.

Adames Homers Again

Willy Adames was on fire, hitting his second homer of the game in the third inning, bringing the score to 6-0. Our bats, unfortunately, went cold with Whit Merrifield, Jarred Kelenic, and Jorge Soler all striking out in the bottom of the third.

Continuing Struggles

The Brewers were relentless. By the fourth inning, more runs came in with a single by Brice Turang to bring in Sal Frelick. Bryce Elder had a rough outing and was relieved by Jesse Chavez, but the damage was already done. The score stood at 7-0.

Nothing Going Our Way

Throughout the subsequent innings, the Brewers continued to dominate. William Contreras and Willy Adames were nearly unstoppable, and by the end of the sixth inning, the score was already 9-0. Our pitching couldn't catch a break, and our hitters seemed to be grasping at straws.

Final Blows

To add insult to injury, William Contreras doubled to bring in Jackson Chourio in the eighth, making it 10-0. Our hitters tried but couldn't connect. The ninth inning ended with Olson flying out and Arcia striking out, sealing our fate.

Looking Ahead

It's tough to see our Braves being shut out, but we know this team has the resilience to bounce back. Let's regroup and come back stronger in the next game. Go Braves!⚾❤️
