Rough Start in the Windy City

Cubs Take the Lead
The Cubs came out swinging in the bottom of the first. After a Nico Hoerner single and a Kyle Tucker walk, Ian Happ crushed a three-run homer to right, putting the Cubs ahead early, 3-0. Our pitching struggled to keep their hitters at bay, with Freddy Peralta doing his best to limit the damage, striking out three in the inning.Missed Opportunities
We had a few opportunities to score, but sadly, they slipped away. In the second inning, Andrew Vaughn reached third base after a walk and moving up on outs, but we couldn't bring him home. Our only extra-base hit came in the fifth inning when Sal Frelick knocked a double, but once again, we couldn't convert—tough break.
Cubs Extend Their Lead
Our bullpen worked hard to keep us in the game, but Matt Shaw's RBI single in the sixth and another homer in the seventh from Kyle Tucker put the Cubs further ahead, making it 5-0. The Cubs added one more insurance run with Michael Busch's solo shot in the eighth.Knocking on the Door
Despite another walk from Yelich in the eighth inning, the Cubs defense stayed strong, preventing any breakthroughs. The ninth inning was more of the same, with Brice Turang, Andrew Vaughn, and Caleb Durbin grounding out.Our lineup really struggled tonight, but let's keep our spirits up, Brewers fans!
