A Tough Day at Home Against the Twins 😞

The Guardians fell short today against the Twins, losing 4-1. The game started off as a pitcher's duel with both teams scoreless through the first two innings.

Early Deficit

The Twins managed to break the deadlock in the top of the 3rd inning. After a leadoff infield single by Jeffers and a walk to Buxton, Matt Wallner singled to right, bringing Jeffers home for a 1-0 lead. Carlos Santana struck out swinging, ending the inning but the damage was done.

Thomas Brings Hope 💪

In the bottom of the 4th inning, Lane Thomas gave us hope with a solo homer to center field, tying the game at 1-1. However, that was the only run we managed to scrape together today.

Twins Take Control

The Twins responded quickly. In the top of the 5th, Byron Buxton doubled to center and scored on Wallner's second RBI single of the game. They extended their lead further in the 8th inning with a two-run homer by Manuel Margot, making it 4-1.

Missed Opportunities

We had our chances but couldn’t capitalize. José Ramírez doubled to kickstart the bottom of the 9th inning, followed by a walk to Josh Naylor. David Fry came in to pinch-hit but struck out, and Bo Naylor grounded out to end the game.

Looking Forward

Despite the loss, there were some positives—such as the solid performance by Lane Thomas. Let's hope the boys can bounce back in the next game! Keep the faith, Guardians fans! 🌟
