Another Mets Victory!

Mets fans, what a game! Our boys brought it home with a great 6-2 win against the Blue Jays! 🥳⚾

Early Inning Tension

The game started slow for both teams. By the end of the 4th inning, it was still 0-0. Our batting lineup couldn't seem to find their rhythm early on. Francisco Lindor, Jose Iglesias, and Mark Vientos all had tough at-bats. Our pitching, however, kept the Blue Jays at bay despite a few close calls.

Breaking the Ice

The Blue Jays managed to score the first run in the bottom of the 4th inning, bringing the score to 1-0. Things were looking tense, but our defense was tight, and they couldn't extend their lead.

Explosive 9th Inning

The top of the 9th was where our Mets truly shined. ⚡Francisco Lindor set the tone with a huge homer to right, tying the game at 1-1. The momentum kept rolling as Jose Iglesias reached on an infield single and advanced to second on an error. Mark Vientos walked, loading the bases.

Then, the magic happened! Pete Alonso hit a sacrifice fly, bringing Iglesias home. Starling Marte followed with another sac fly, scoring E. Alvarez.

The hit of the night was by Francisco Alvarez, who crushed a homer to center, driving in Brandon Nimmo and J.D. Martinez. The score surged to 6-1. A double by Tyrone Taylor and a walk by Francisco Lindor kept the action hot, but the inning ended at 6-1 after Jose Iglesias flied out.

Closing it Out

Despite some late-game pressure from the Blue Jays, our bullpen held firm. Díaz came in and secured the win. The Blue Jays managed one more run, but it wasn't enough to catch up to our thrilling 9th-inning rally.

Final score: Mets 6, Blue Jays 2. What an end to the game! Let's keep this momentum going, Mets fans! 🙌🚀
