First Inning: Setting the Tone Early!
Things began on a high note for our San Francisco Giants. After a couple of outs, LaMonte Wade Jr. sent a solo shot to right field, giving us an early 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, Matt Chapman struck out swinging to end the inning, but our boys had already made their mark.Keeping Royals Quiet
Our pitching kept the Royals at bay in the bottom of the 1st. Adam Frazier and company couldn't generate any momentum, thanks to some solid fielding and pitching from our side. Gotta love our defense!
Fourth Inning Fireworks!
The 4th inning was a slugfest for the Giants. We saw back-to-back home runs from LaMonte Wade Jr. and Matt Chapman! The Royals had no answers as we stretched our lead to 3-0. Chapman’s homer traveled a whopping 421 feet!
Sixth Inning: Giants Go Big!
The 6th inning was the highlight of the game. Matt Chapman started us off with his second homer of the game. Then, Michael Conforto doubled, followed by Tyler Fitzgerald and Donnell Walton doing their part. Curt Casali came in clutch with a 2-RBI single. But the crown jewel? Our pitchers were absolutely sensational. They didn't let the Royals breathe, maintaining the 9-0 shutout through nine innings. Big shoutout to Roupp, Bivens, and Beck for their stellar performances on the mound.
