Tough Night at Minute Maid Park
The Houston Astros faced off against the Seattle Mariners last night, and it was a tough outing for our boys. The final score ended at 6-1, favoring the Mariners, despite some solid efforts from our lineup.Slow Start for the Offense
The game started with a quiet first inning for both teams. In the top of the 3rd inning, the Mariners managed to scratch the first run across the board with a single from Raleigh that drove in Robles. Our bats struggled to respond immediately, and despite a few promising moments, we couldn't get runners home.Pitching Struggles in the 7th and 8th
The 7th inning saw the Mariners extend their lead. Turner singled to start things off, followed by a few key hits and a walk that eventually brought in another run. By the end of the 7th, the score stood at 2-0 in favor of the Mariners. Unfortunately, the 8th inning wasn't much better, as the Mariners tacked on another two runs, making it a 4-0 game.A Glimmer of Hope
In the bottom of the 8th, Jason Heyward injected some life back into the game with a towering homer to right center, cutting the deficit to 4-1. Jose Altuve also reached on an infield single, giving us some hope, but the rally was stalled when Kyle Tucker grounded into a fielder's choice and Alex Bregman grounded out to third.Sealing the Deal
The Mariners sealed the game with two more runs in the top of the 9th, including a ground rule double from Rodríguez and another from Arozarena, pushing the score to 6-1. Despite our efforts, the Mariners’ bullpen shut the door in the 9th inning, and the game ended with Yainer Diaz, Jon Singleton, and Victor Caratini all going down in order.Looking Forward
