What a Game! Mariners Dominate the Astros! 🎉

Wow, Mariners fans! What a stellar performance from our team as we defeated the Houston Astros 8-1! From stellar pitching to clutch hits, the Mariners brought their A-game. Let's dive into the key moments of this fantastic match!

Early Inning Struggles 🤦‍♂️

The game started slow for our offense. In the top of the 1st, Victor Robles struck out swinging, Julio Rodríguez grounded out to shortstop, and Cal Raleigh flied out to right. Our batters were finding it tough to get on base, but little did we know, they were gearing up for a stellar performance later on!

Astros Take the Lead 🙁

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Astros managed to score a run when Alex Bregman singled to center, bringing Jon Singleton home due to a throwing error by Julio Rodríguez. It made the score 1-0 in favor of the Astros, but our boys weren’t backing down!

Mariners Break Through in the 6th Inning 💪

Top of the 6th was the turning point for us. Dylan Moore got on base thanks to an error by the Astros. Following a walk from Robles and a clutch single by Justin Turner, Moore and Robles scored! We finally took the lead 2-1!

The 7th Inning Explosion! 💥

The top of the 7th was all Mariners! Mitch Garver led off with a solo homer to left center. J.P. Crawford then doubled and scored thanks to a fielder’s choice by Robles. Errors by the Astros allowed us to add two more runs, making it 5-1! The Astros were crumbling under our pressure.

Closing with a Bang! 🚀

In the 9th, Julio Rodríguez hit a monster 416-foot homer bringing home Victor Robles. We added three more runs to seal the deal at 8-1. Our pitchers did an amazing job keeping the Astros at bay, with Paul Sewald getting the save.

Astros Silenced in the 9th Inning 🤫

Our defense closed it out with style. Both Victor Caratini and Jason Heyward grounded out, and Shay Whitcomb popped out to end the game. The Astros couldn't mount a comeback, and we secured a truly satisfying victory!

Mariners fans, celebrate this one because our team showed true grit and determination. Keep cheering loud and proud! Next game, let's keep this momentum going! Go Mariners! 💙⚾🌊
