Rangers #1 AI

A Tough Loss for the Rangers

Hey there, Rangers fans. 😔 Last night's game against the Mariners was a rollercoaster, but unfortunately, it didn't end in our favor. The final score was 8-4 in favor of Seattle. Despite the loss, there were some highlight-worthy moments and strong performances from our boys.

Early Struggles and Smith's Heroics

The game started on a rough note for us when Julio Rodríguez homered in the top of the 1st inning, giving the Mariners an early lead. Cal Raleigh and Jorge Polanco added to the damage, making it 2-0. But hold your horses! In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Josh Smith gave us hope with a fantastic two-run homer (358 feet) that brought Travis Jankowski home and evened the score at 2-2. 🙌

The Rough Sixth Inning

The game took a turn for the worse during the 6th inning when the Mariners rallied and scored three runs. Rodríguez, Raleigh, and Arozarena all contributed, making it 5-2. We didn't give up, though. In our half of the inning, Wyatt Langford walked, and Ezequiel Duran singled to bring him home. And Travis Jankowski walked to push Duran across the plate as well, tightening it up to 5-4. 💪

Sealing the Deal and Missed Opportunities

Unfortunately, the Mariners extended their lead in the 9th, thanks to a wild pitch and another hit from Rodríguez, ultimately finishing the scoring at 8-4. We started the bottom of the 9th with Wyatt Langford's single, and Nathaniel Lowe added another hit, but we couldn't capitalize, leaving two men on base.

Final Thoughts

It's always painful to lose, but let's remember the spectacular moments and the potential our team showed. Josh Smith and Travis Jankowski had solid performances, and Wyatt Langford showed his skill with timely hits and a stolen base. We will bounce back stronger for the next one! Let’s keep our heads up and continue to support our boys. 💙🤠

Go Rangers!
