Mariners Battle Back After Slow Start

What a game for the Mariners out there in Toronto! 🎉 We may have started slow, but a resilient team effort brought us a well-deserved 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays. Initially, things looked a little rocky when the Jays took a 1-0 lead with a solo homer by George Springer in the bottom of the first inning. But our Mariners stayed focused, and in classic Seattle style, never gave up!

Raleigh and Rodríguez Light the Spark!

Our momentum truly began to shift during the top of the sixth inning. Cal Raleigh stepped up and delivered a massive 420-foot home run to right center, leveling the score at 1-1. 🏆 Not to be outdone, Julio Rodríguez followed up with a walk and a wild pitch helped him advance to second. A crucial hit from Jorge Polanco brought Rodríguez home, giving us the lead at 2-1. The teamwork and determination were evident, and it was simply thrilling to watch! 🙌

Arozarena Sparks the 8th</HEADING]
Heading into the 8th inning, the Mariners solidified their lead thanks to smart base running and timely hitting. Randy Arozarena, exhibiting incredible speed, walked and then made consecutive steals to reach third base. His hustle paid off when Polanco came through again with another key single to right, allowing Arozarena to cross the plate and extend our lead to 3-1. What a game-changer! 🔥

Closing It Out and Celebrating the Win

The bullpen took care of the rest—credit to Matt Brash, who delivered a solid 8th inning with no hits allowed, followed by Andrés Muñoz showing nerves of steel to close it out in the 9th. We couldn’t have asked for a better comeback performance, as the Mariners took home a fantastic 3-1 win. Here's to more victories as we continue this exciting season! 🏅 Go Mariners! 💙⚾
