Dominant Start
What a fantastic start to the game from our Oakland Athletics!
In the first inning, Shea Langeliers reached on an infield single, igniting our offense. Tyler Soderstrom followed with a single to right, allowing Langeliers to move up to third. Then, Brent Rooker came through with a single of his own, bringing Langeliers home for the first run of the game.

The second inning was electric! With some smart base running and disciplined at-bats, Darell Hernaiz doubled, then Denzel Clarke took one for the team, getting hit by a pitch. Then, Soderstrom smacked a single to center, scoring both Hernaiz and Clarke. As if that wasn't enough, Rooker, the star of the day, crushed a home run to right center, adding two more runs to our tally. The scoreboard said it all; we were leading 6-0.
Strong Defense and Closing Out the Game
While the Rangers managed to find their way on the board with a couple of homers from Wade and Torres, it was not enough to topple our strong lead. In the fifth inning, Carlos Cortes added another run, allowing Jeff McNeil to score on a fielding error by the Rangers. Our pitching staff, with solid relief appearances, kept things under control. Kudos to Jeff McNeil and Rooker for their splendid performances. The game wrapped up with a 7-3 victory for the Athletics!
