Blue Jays Take Control
The Blue Jays struck back in the top of the 3rd with a 2-run homer by Andrés Giménez, followed by a series of singles and walks that pushed the score to 3-1. The 4th inning saw them stretching their lead further, capitalizing on a wild pitch to make it 5-1. Guerrero Jr. added to the trouble in the 7th inning, homering to right center and making it 6-2.Late Rally Falls Short
We had a small glimmer of hope in the 6th inning when Eugenio Suárez singled to right, bringing Jorge Polanco home and cutting the deficit to 5-2. But that was as close as we got, with the Jays extending their lead in the 8th inning to 8-2.
