The excitement came in the bottom of the 6th inning when Wyatt Langford led off with a single to left field. Then, the magic happened: Adolis García crushed a homer to left field, sending Langford home and putting us up 2-0. That homer measured a solid 372 feet!
Defensive Highlights
Our defense was flawless today as well. Marcus Semien kicked things off with a double to center in the 1st inning, although we were unable to capitalize at that moment. The 5th inning saw some nerve-racking moments when the Blue Jays had runners on second and third, but stellar plays got us out of the jam unscathed.
Closing It Out
In the top of the 9th, Yates came in to close and struck out Guerrero Jr. to keep the Blue Jays at bay. Alejandro Kirk and Horwitz followed suit, flying out to center and striking out looking, respectively, sealing our shutout victory.Next Up
