Cubs Start with a Bang

Closing it Out
The Cubs' relief pitcher, Hodge, was called in to seal the deal in the top of the 9th inning. He proved to be absolutely no-nonsense, striking out Joey Gallo and Drew Millas looking, followed by an easy ground out from Darren Baker. As Hodge recorded that final out, it was a massive exhale and celebration for all Cubs fans!

This game showcased the Cubs' resilience and depth. From Dansby Swanson's early homer to Mike Tauchman's clutch hit and the stellar performance from our bullpen, it was a total team effort.
