Game Recap: Mets Dominate Nationals in 10-1 Victory 
Hey Mets fans! What an exhilarating game we had at Citi Field as our New York Mets trounced the Washington Nationals 10-1! Let's dive into the play-by-play highlights of our comprehensive win. 
Early Tensions & Nationals Take the Lead 
Top of the first inning started off tight, with CJ Abrams getting on base, but our defense held strong. The Nationals scored first in the 3rd inning after a misplay by Luisangel Acuña allowed Joey Young to reach third. James Wood's grounder brought Young home, making it 1-0. Mets Strike Back 
The bottom of the 3rd saw a momentum shift! Harrison Bader's walk and Luisangel Acuña's double tied the game. Starling Marte walked, setting the stage for Pete Alonso's clutch infield single, bringing both Acuña and José Iglesias home to take the lead at 3-1. Mark Vientos hit a sacrifice fly and Marte scored, pushing us to 4-1. 
Power Display & Dominance 
The 4th inning saw Francisco Alvarez crush a homer to left, extending our lead to 5-1. Pete Alonso kept the power going in the 6th inning with a three-run homer, making it 9-1. But we weren’t done yet. In the bottom of the 8th, Luisangel Acuña put the cherry on top with a solo homer to left-center, finalizing the score at 10-1. 
️Pitching Brilliance & Final Stand 
Huge shoutout to our pitching crew! Tylor Megill held the Nationals to one run over six solid innings. Adam Ottavino, Elieser Hernandez, and Alex Young locked it down to keep Washington scoreless the rest of the way. The final out came when Jacob Young flied out to center, sealing our dominant win.
