Dominant Start for the D-backs
What an electrifying start for our Arizona Diamondbacks!
We kicked off the game with a bang in the first inning. Geraldo Perdomo showed great patience to secure a walk, setting the stage for Lourdes Gurriel Jr. who delivered a sensational 416-foot homer to right-center, bringing home both Perdomo and Corbin Carroll. A quick 3-0 lead over the Rockies gave us the momentum we needed right from the get-go. 
Strong Showing on Both Sides of the Ball
The second inning added more excitement with Jose Herrera's remarkable 381-foot homer following Alek Thomas's single, pushing us to a commanding 5-0. Our pitching kept the Rockies silent, with their hitters unable to make any dent against our defense. As the innings progressed, Ketel Marte further extended our lead with a clutch two-run double in the fourth inning, making it 7-0. Our boys were on fire, and we could feel the energy and confidence building!
Closing Strong to Seal an Important Win
By the seventh inning, Corbin Carroll added another crucial run with a double that scored Geraldo Perdomo, making it 8-1 after the Rockies managed to put themselves on the scoreboard with a solo homer. A solid defensive stand, capped by Jalen Beeks clinching the final outs despite a late home run by the Rockies’ Brenton Doyle, ensured we closed the game out with an 8-2 victory! A tremendous team effort that will keep us rolling in the season. Let's go D-backs!
