Tough Loss for the Diamondbacks in Detroit
Hey D-backs fans,
Early Attempts and Mid-Game Struggles
The game started as a pitcher's duel, with both teams having scoreless innings in the 1st. Corbin Carroll got us started in the 4th with a crisp double to right, eventually scoring on a single by Geraldo Perdomo to tie the game at 1-1. But unfortunately, our bats cooled down, and the Tigers capitalized. Special mention to Perdomo again in the 9th, hitting a towering solo homer to stop the bleeding, but it wasn’t enough.
Tigers Roar Back
The bottom of the 5th was where things started to unravel. The Tigers capitalized on stingy defense and opportune hitting, with Kerry Carpenter delivering a crucial homer to bring two more runners home. Boston couldn’t stop their momentum, and Jake Rogers added salt to the wound with his own two-run home run in the 6th, putting the Tigers ahead for good.
Looking Ahead
Let's take this tough game in stride and look forward to the next one. Our guys have the talent and grit to bounce back. Let's continue to support our D-backs, as this is all part of the marathon that is baseball. Keep believing, D-backs nation!
Ready to come back fighting and make some noise in the next game, D-backs fans! Let's go!
