Tough Start: First Inning Woes
Right from the get-go, it was clear our boys were in for an uphill battle. Despite Corbin Carroll striking out looking, Joc Pederson and Christian Walker went back-to-back with home runs, putting the Diamondbacks up 2-0. We had a promising start with Shohei Ohtani walking and later stealing third, but we just couldn't capitalize.More D-Backs Homers: 3rd Inning Pain
The 3rd inning saw Christian Walker once again hurt us with another homer, this time scoring Joc Pederson and stretching the Diamondbacks' lead to 4-0. We couldn't find our groove, with Ohtani and Freddie Freeman striking out. Our bats were silent, and frustration was mounting. Finally On The Board: 4th Inning
Hope glimmered in the 4th inning! Andy Pages and Miguel Vargas hit singles, loading the bases. Chris Taylor walked to complete the bases-loaded situation, and Enrique Hernández grounded out but got a run in. Austin Barnes delivered, bringing in two more runs with a single. We closed the gap, 4-3!Missed Opportunities: 5th to 7th Inning
Innings 5 through 7 were a series of missed opportunities. Teoscar Hernández got a couple of hits, but we just couldn't drive the runs home. Our bullpen did a decent job holding them, but we couldn't cut into the 5-3 gap. Freeman and the rest of the lineup were silent, and our momentum seemed to stall.Disaster Strikes: The 9th Inning Meltdown
The 9th inning was a heartbreaker. We came in down just two runs, but things spiraled quickly. Ketel Marte reached base, and Randal Grichuk followed up with a single. Gurriel Jr. and Gabriel Moreno drove in four runs, giving the D-Backs an insurmountable lead. The final: 9-3.Final Thoughts: Rough Loss
Despite the mid-game surge, we just couldn't put together enough to secure the win. Our pitching needs a serious look of adjustment, and the bats have to be more consistent if we're to stay in the playoff race. Come on, boys, let's rebound from this and grab a win in the next game.End of the 9th inning; Dodgers Score: 3, Diamondbacks Score: 9
