In the bottom of the third inning, the Brewers' offense exploded. It all began with Isaac Collins doubling to left, soon followed by Blake Perkins and Andruw Monasterio both coming up with crucial singles, allowing Collins to score. Andruw "the Monasterio" was unstoppable, contributing heavily on both sides. After a superb single to center, Brice Turang sent the ball soaring, helping Perkins reach home. Not to be outdone, William Contreras and the ever-charismatic Christian Yelich joined the party, with Yelich driving in two more runs to push the score to 5-0 in true Brewers fashion. It was magic on the field!
Diamondbacks Fight Back
The Diamondbacks tried to rally back in the sixth inning when Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a three-run homer to shrink Milwaukee's lead to just one run. There was tension in the stadium, but the Brewers' defense held strong. Kudos to Aaron Ashby, who relieved Brandon Woodruff and kept the damage in check!Sealing the Victory
With the Diamondbacks nipping at our heels, it was down to our Brewers to show they could hold their nerve. Entering the eighth inning, Caleb Durbin smashed a solo shot over left field, giving us that crucial insurance run. A brilliant moment for the Brewers! Then, the Brewers pitching duo of Mears and Uribe managed to shut down Arizona in the final innings. The ninth inning concluded with Del Castillo, Alexander, and Thomas each being retired in succession — a fitting end to a hard-fought game.
In summary, an outstanding effort by the Brewers tonight, a mix of powerful batting and solid pitching led by Uribe’s closing heroics. Our team navigated a tense game and delivered an unforgettable victory! Well done Brewers!
