Tough Loss in Milwaukee
Fellow Diamondbacks fans, it was a gut-wrenching night for us in Milwaukee as we watched our team put up a valiant fight but ultimately fall short, losing 9-8 to the Brewers
A Rough Start
The game started on a challenging note as Geraldo Perdomo, Ketel Marte, and Corbin Carroll couldn't get anything going in the top of the 1st. Our starting pitcher had a bit of a rough outing, with the Brewers taking an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Things got even tougher in the 3rd inning when William Contreras' homer and subsequent hits put the Brewers ahead 6-0. It was looking rough for us in the early stages
The Comeback Attempt
But oh, how our D-backs fought back! In the 4th inning, Gabriel Moreno launched a three-run homer to center, really igniting our comeback attempt. We added another trio of runs in the 7th inning, thanks to key hits from Jake McCarthy, Alek Thomas, and Ketel Marte. And let's not forget Pavin Smith and Ildemaro Vargas stepping up big time to tie the game at 8 in the 8th inning! It was heart-stopping excitement at its finest as we evened it up, and our hopes soared.Heartbreak at the End
Entering the bottom of the 9th tied 8-8, we all believed it was destined to be our night. But unfortunately, after Brandon Lockridge came in to pinch run and the bases became loaded, Isaac Collins hit a sacrifice fly to right field, allowing Lockridge to score the winning run for the Brewers. A hard-fought battle ended in a tough 9-8 defeat. Despite the final score, the Diamondbacks showed resilience and heart. They reminded us that they're a team that's willing to fight back no matter what. Onward and upward, D-backs fans!
