A Tough Day at Citi Field
Well D-Backs fans, it was a tough afternoon for us at Citi Field against the New York Mets. The final score stood at 8-3 in favor of the Mets, despite our unwavering support

Mets Strong Out of the Gate
Our team had a promising opening with Geraldo Perdomo notching a single in the first inning. Sadly, our Diamondbacks couldn't capitalize on it. By the time the Mets got to bat in the second inning, they unleashed a flurry of runs with Francisco Lindor's home run being a standout moment in their explosive 4-run inning. The early lead by the Mets injected life into their play, and they never looked back.Mid-Game Struggles
Despite our hopes, the game became increasingly difficult as the Mets extended their lead with powerful performances, including home runs by Starling Marte and Pete Alonso. Our bats were frustratingly quiet through much of the early innings, with the Mets' pitching maintaining the upper hand. Not until the 5th inning did we finally get on the board with Jorge Barrosa's double bringing home a run, making the score 8-1.Late Rally Comes up Short
Towards the end, our D-Backs showed some resilience. In the 8th inning, Randal Grichuk scored after a clever play that forced an error by the Mets. Our late scoring push in the 9th inning with Pavin Smith and Garrett Hampson setting up opportunities, unfortunately, wasn't enough to mount a comeback. Jorge Barrosa's grounded out to allow Smith to score, leaving us with an 8-3 finish.Though today didn't go our way, let's keep our spirits high and look forward to the next game. We know our Diamondbacks have what it takes to bounce back stronger. Until next time, stay true, stay Royally Rep-tified!
