A Tough Arizona Desert Showdown
Hey Padres fans!

Early Promise, But Fizzling Out
We had a promising start with Fernando Tatis Jr. doubling to left at the bottom of the 1st. He set the tone with some excitement, but unfortunately, it didn't rally any runs as Luis Arraez, Manny Machado, and Gavin Sheets couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity.Diamondbacks' Power Surge
Arizona's James McCann gave the D-backs an early 1-0 edge with a solo shot in the 3rd inning. The top of the 5th was particularly tough as Geraldo Perdomo hammered a grand slam, really opening up the Diamondbacks' lead to 6-0. Our defense had some struggles against their lineup, which was firing from all cylinders today.Glimmers of Hope
We did have a few bright moments. Jake Cronenworth and Xander Bogaerts worked together to finally get us on the board at the bottom of the 5th, and Gavin Sheets knocked it out of the park in the 7th inning with a stellar 437-foot home run!

Closing Out Strong
The Diamondbacks weren't done, adding a final run with Corbin Carroll's solo homer in the 9th, finishing the game at 8-2. Despite our team's best efforts, today was a tough one to watch.Onward Padres!
We'll shake this off and look forward to bouncing back in the next game. Keep the faith, fellow Friar Faithful!
