What a game for the Arizona Diamondbacks as we took down the San Francisco Giants with a final score of 5-3!
As a die-hard D-Backs fan, this game was a rollercoaster of emotions and definitely one for the books. Let's dive into the highlights.Early Innings – A Tight Battle
The game started off slow with both teams locked in a pitcher's duel. Our boys showed resilience from the start, making solid defensive plays and keeping the Giants at bay. The 2nd inning saw the first run of the game thanks to a sacrifice fly by Jake McCarthy, scoring Eugenio Suárez and putting us ahead early.
Giants Fight Back, But D-Backs Hold Strong
The Giants didn't take long to respond, taking a brief lead in the 5th with a two-run homer by Mike Yastrzemski. But hey, we're the Diamondbacks, and we don't back down that easy! The 6th inning was a beauty as Christian Walker stepped in for Smith, and Gabriel Moreno clutching up with a single to bring two runs home, regaining the lead!
Closing Out With A Bang!
The excitement wasn't over yet. The top of the 9th was crucial. Kevin Newman's double was a piece of art, driving in another run, followed by a sac fly from Ketel Marte bringing in another. This gave us the cushion we needed, heading into the bottom of the 9th with a 5-3 lead.
