Rays Steal Victory in 12 Innings Against the Diamondbacks
Hey D-backs fans!
What a roller-coaster of a game that was! Our Arizona Diamondbacks put up a strong fight, but ultimately fell short in a 12-inning heartbreaker against the Tampa Bay Rays, 8-7.Early Struggles
Things got off to a rocky start with Geraldo Perdomo, Corbin Carroll, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. all getting out in the first inning. Our bats didn't wake up until the 7th when we found ourselves in a 6-0 hole. But we clawed our way back!Climbing Back!
Corbin Carroll absolutely crushed a homer in the 8th inning, driving in Kevin Newman. Then in the 9th, Adrian Del Castillo hit an incredible three-run homer to tie the game at 6-6. The excitement was palpable!
Extra-Inning Drama
We took the lead in the 10th thanks to a clutch hit by Joc Pederson scoring Corbin Carroll. That made it 7-6, and we almost had it! However, the Rays tied it back up and finally pulled ahead in the 12th inning despite our best efforts.Key Performances
Special shoutout to Adrian Del Castillo for his clutch homer that tied the game and Corbin Carroll for that monster jack in the 8th inning. Also, a nod to Joc Pederson for driving in the go-ahead run in extra innings. You guys kept us in it and gave us hope!
What's Next?
