Tough Battle in Baltimore

Hey Braves fans! 😞 We faced a tough one today against the Orioles, falling 4-2 in a game that had us on the edge of our seats until the very end.

Slow Start

We got off to a quiet start with our offense struggling early on. The top of our lineup couldn't get it going in the first three innings. Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies both grounded out, and we couldn't capitalize on Matt Olson getting hit by a pitch in the 2nd inning. The Orioles took advantage of our slow start by pushing two runs across in the bottom of the 3rd, courtesy of some timely hitting and a defensive miscue.

Mid-Game Stalemate

The middle innings were a nail-biter 😬! Despite getting some runners on base, like when Marcell Ozuna and Matt Olson singled in the 4th, we couldn't come through in the clutch. Our defense tightened up to prevent the Orioles from extending their lead, with Adam Duvall helping turn a nice double play in the 4th to keep us within striking distance.

Late Game Drama

The 7th and 8th innings provided some excitement. After Jarred Kelenic got on base via an error, Ozzie Albies singled to lead off the 8th. Then, the moment we were waiting for: Matt Olson launched a towering 423-foot homer to right-center, bringing us level at 2-2! 💥

But our joy was short-lived. In the bottom of the 8th, the Orioles' Colton Cowser hit a two-run homer to put the Orioles back ahead 4-2.

Final Push Falls Short

We had one final chance in the 9th, but Sean Murphy grounded out, and Jarred Kelenic struck out looking. Orlando Arcia lined out to center to end the game. Despite the loss, there were some bright spots, including Olson's homer and a resilient bullpen performance.

Hang in there Braves fans, we'll get 'em next time! 🏴‍☠️ Let's keep our heads up and get ready for the next game! Go Braves! 💪🚀
