Wow, what a game for us Cubs fans! Our Chicago Cubs pulled off a thrilling victory against the Atlanta Braves, winning 4-3 in a game that kept us on the edge of our seats until the very last play.Game Highlights & Key Moments
The game started off with both teams locked in a tight pitcher's duel, leaving us scoreless in the first inning. The Braves struck first in the 2nd with Orlando Arcia blasting a homer, giving the Braves an early 2-0 lead. But, our Cubs didn't let that dampen the spirits at Wrigley. Thanks to Mike Tauchman’s RBI single and a passed ball by the Braves’ catcher, we quickly evened the score to 2-2.Michael Harris II from the Braves did manage to steal the lead back with a solo home run in the 4th, making it 3-2. Tension was high as both teams battled it out until the 6th inning when Tauchman once again came through with an RBI single, tying the game at 3-3.
Down to the Wire
The intensity only ramped up as the innings went by, with both teams' bullpens buckling down to keep the game tied. Entering the 10th inning with the score still knotted at 3-3, we were biting our nails, hoping for a Cubs breakthrough. And then, in the bottom of the 10th, Nico Hoerner emerged as the hero, delivering an infield single that allowed Cody Bellinger to score the winning run!Cubs' Fight and Resilience

The pitching staff did a phenomenal job keeping us in the game with Justin Steele, Mark Leiter Jr., and Ethan Roberts all providing crucial outs in high-pressure situations.Dansby Swanson also deserves a shoutout for his key double in the 4th, and though he didn't score, his hit was a spark that kept our hopes alive. And let's not forget the defensive efforts that kept the Braves at bay, particularly in those nail-biting extra innings.
