Tough Day at the Ballpark
Hey Brewers fans, it wasn't the outcome we hoped for as our boys fell to the Braves 5-1. Here's how it went down.Early Struggles and Missed Opportunities
The first couple of innings were a pitcher’s duel with both teams staying scoreless. Our hopes were high, but our batters couldn't get anything going. Brice Turang and Jake Bauers struck out in the first, setting a troubling tone.Braves Strike First and Hard
The Braves took advantage in the 3rd inning. With a series of singles, walks, and a crucial double, they quickly went up 4-0. Austin Riley and Eddie Rosario made sure they capitalized on every opportunity. In the 4th, Jarred Kelenic launched a solo homer to extend their lead to 5-0.Our Lone Highlight
Garrett Mitchell gave us a spark with a double in the 3rd, and Gary Sánchez's pinch-hit single in the 7th drove in our only run, making it 5-1. Sal Frelick and Jackson Chourio also showed some fight, with Frelick reaching base twice.Final Inning Frustrations
Despite some substitutions and a couple of walks, we couldn’t muster another rally. Blake Perkins and Rhys Hoskins both came up short in the 9th inning. Closing it out, the Braves' bullpen didn't give us any room to breathe.Looking Ahead
It's never easy to take a loss, but let's remember it's just one game. There were some sparks and moments of potential. We'll come back stronger next time! Stay positive, Brewers fans!Scoreboard for Braves @ Brewers (July 31st, 2024)
