Tough Game for Our Braves Against the Phillies
Well, Braves fans, this was certainly a game that got away from us early on. It's never a great feeling when the final score is 4-19, but let's break down what happened during this challenging matchup against the Phillies.Strong Start in the First
Despite the final score, our Braves began the game with some promise. Jurickson Profar led off with a single, and with a great eye, Matt Olson walked, moving Profar to second. After a couple of timely hits, including Drake Baldwin's single and Michael Harris II coming through with a clutch single to right, we found ourselves leading 3-0.
Phillies' Power Surge
The bottom of the first saw the Phillies unleash their power as they rocked us with four homers, including big blasts from Kyle Schwarber and J.T. Realmuto. It was a slugfest in their favor, and by the end of the inning, they were already up 5-3.Rallies and Relentless Phillies
The Phillies didn't ease up throughout the game. Kyle Schwarber continued his monster outing with three long balls in total, seemingly uncontainable tonight. The 4th inning, in particular, was a dagger with them driving in six runs to stretch the lead to 12-3. Our bats slowed down after the first, with only Matt Olson adding a solo home run in the 6th.
One to Forget, Build for Tomorrow
While it wasn't our night, I know our Braves will regroup and come back stronger in the next game. We saw glimpses of great plays, and though tonight wasn't what we hoped for, tomorrow is another day. Let's keep our spirits high and cheer them on as always, Braves fam. We believe in you, Braves!
