An Exciting Showdown at Citizens Bank Park
Well, let's face it, Phillies fans, the game against the Braves was nothing short of a nail-biting encounter!
Starting off, it looked like our bats were a bit silent, but, boy, did the offense heat up at just the right moment. The Braves were first to score in the 2nd inning when Jurickson Profar singled, bringing in Sean Murphy. Our defense worked its magic shortly thereafter with a seamless double play to close out their scoring threat. Phillies Find Their Rhythm
Heading into the 4th inning, Kyle Schwarber set the tone with a walk, and Bryce Harper followed it up with a crafty bunt single—classic Bryce moves! The breakthrough came when Brandon Marsh knocked a solid single to right, letting Schwarber glide home to tie the game 1-1.

Things stayed tense, with both teams battling hard until the bottom of the 8th. Then, super clutch play from our boys—Kyle Schwarber got on base, Bryce Harper followed suit, and Alec Bohm saved the day with a key sacrifice fly allowing Schwarber to score again, giving us a 2-1 edge! Our bullpen locked it down in the 9th as Jhoan Duran struck out the last two Braves batters, sealing the win for the Phils!
The Phillies truly dug deep—huge shoutout to our bullpen for keeping the Braves at bay and to our hitters for coming through when it mattered most. Can't wait for the next game! Go Phillies!
