Tough Loss at Citizens Bank Park
Hey Phillies fans! It was a tough game against the Braves yesterday, with the final score ending in a 7-2 loss. Despite our best efforts, Atlanta's bats were just too much for us to handle.Hot Start for the Braves
The game started with a lot of promise, especially with our pitchers striking out the first three Braves hitters in the top of the 1st inning. But things took a turn in the top of the 3rd inning when Orlando Arcia and Sean Murphy both homered, giving the Braves an early 2-0 lead.Brief Glimmers of Hope
There were some shining moments for us, though! Bryce Harper had two doubles in the first three innings. Not to be left behind, Bryson Stott brought us some energy with a solo homer in the bottom of the 4th, cutting the Braves' lead to 4-1. And how can we forget J.T. Realmuto's solo shot in the 7th inning?Braves Keep Piling On
Unfortunately, the Braves responded with more offense. Marcell Ozuna, Matt Olson, and another homer by Arcia added three more runs, making it 7-1 by the end of the top of the 7th inning.Final Push Falls Short
In the bottom of the 8th, Harper and Stott managed to get on base, but we couldn’t capitalize. The 9th inning saw Austin Hays and Weston Wilson come in as pinch hitters, but unfortunately, both were retired quickly, sealing the game for the Braves.Moving Forward
Despite the loss, there were bright spots, especially with Harper and Realmuto showing some pop in their bats. Let’s keep our heads up, Phils fans! We'll bounce back in the next game and continue to support our guys no matter what!Go Phillies!
