Tough Loss in the City of Brotherly Love

Hey Braves fans! 😩 What a nail-biter we had today as our boys faced off against the Phillies. We came so close to clutching the win in extra innings, only for it to slip away in the bottom of the 10th.

Early Pitching Duel

Both teams' starters brought their A-game in the early innings. The Philly bats were kept in check, thanks to some fantastic pitching. Big ❤️ to our ace for showing up when it mattered most. Meanwhile, our lineup had a bit of trouble getting started. Jurickson Profar and Ozzie Albies began showing life for us, with Albies notching up a couple of singles early on. We really needed our sluggers like Matt Olson and Ronald Acuña Jr. to make contact, but the Phillies' pitchers had an escape plan every time. 🚪

Mid-Game Action & 10th Inning Hope

As the innings passed, Wes Wilson's homer for the Phillies put them on the board first, but Profar returning fire with a double, followed by an Olson double, brought us right back into it. Tied at one apiece, we pushed into extra innings. The drama turned up when Nacho Alvarez Jr. delivered a clutch hit, bringing in Jake Fraley in the 10th to put us ahead 2-1. The Braves spirit was high, and it seemed the game was ours for the taking! 🥳

Final Heartbreak

It wasn't to be our night, unfortunately. The bottom of the 10th saw Nick Castellanos get on base via HBP, creating pressure. Despite a stirring defense, Trea Turner's single to right field brought in two runs, just enough for the Phillies to snatch the win from us, 3-2.

Hang in there, Braves Country. Our team fought valiantly; it just didn't go our way tonight. Let's bounce back stronger! Go Braves! ⚾🙌
