Tough Loss in Extra Innings
Well, Braves fans, it was a nail-biter that unfortunately ended up in a heartbreak
Early Game Highlights
We kicked things off in the top of the 3rd inning when Michael Harris II crushed a solo homer to center field measuring a whopping 413 feet! That put us up with an early lead at 1-0.Marcell Ozuna kept the momentum going with a single, followed by Travis d'Arnaud who managed to advance Matt Olson to third. Thanks to Whit Merrifield's fielder's choice, Olson crossed home, bringing the score to 2-0 in favor of the Braves.
The Phillies' Response
The Phillies managed to claw their way back into the game in the bottom of the 6th inning. A clutch double from Nick Castellanos drove in two runs, tying the game at 2-2.Our pitching staff, including Lee and Johnson, managed to keep their bats quiet from the 7th inning onwards. Raisel Iglesias also delivered a clutch performance, striking out three in the bottom of the 9th to keep us alive.
Extra Innings Drama
Moving into extras, we had opportunities but just couldn't find that go-ahead run. Despite solid efforts, Ozuna and Olson couldn't bring the magic to score in the top of the 11th inning. In the bottom of the 11th, things looked tight. Aaron Bummer started strong, but after walking Trea Turner, things got dicey. A crucial infield single by Nick Castellanos with Kody Clemens on third sealed the deal for the Phillies.
Final Thoughts
It was a tough loss, and while the Phillies were able to edge us out in the end, our Braves showed great heart and grit. We'll get them next time! Special shout-out to Michael Harris II for his standout performance with not only a homer but ruling center field.Keep your heads up, Braves fans. We’ve got plenty of baseball left to play, and we know our team can bounce back!

Until next time, Go Braves!
